My grandfather served on PT boats in the Pacific during WWII. MOMM1, his rank stands for Motor Machinist, 1st Class. He passed away the year before I was born.
Elmer Glenn Morris was my step-grandfather. He served on The Enterprise during WWII and was also a trombone player with the Navy Band.
